| The AHAA awards high point trophies in
recognition
of our members' achievements.
When you compete at an AHAA recognized show, you are earning points for Year End Awards and High Point Trophies. You can earn a High Point Trophy for:
** Open Competition Horse
and Open
Competition Youth Trophies For these 3 trophies mentioned above you need to get forms
from
the AHAA
so that you are prepared for the upcoming year, these forms will need
to
be witnessed by show officials on the date of the Show or event. Please note that the owner and Rider/Handler need to be a Member
of the AHAA to earn your points. If you have a trainer riding
the
horse, they must be an AHAA member to earn points on your
horse.
Also Point Tabulation begins on the day of membership, so it is very
important
to get your membership before your first Show, Trailride, Race or
Competition. |
Special Appreciation Award:
In addition to all the class champions and high point trophy winners,
the AHAA annually awards a Special Appreciation
Award. This award is presented to an AHAA member(s) who has made
great contributions, etc to the AHAA and the
Appaloosa Horse.
People can contact a board member to suggest someone for this year's
presentation which will be at the Annual Awards Presentations.
The Awards Committee takes the nominations and the AHAA Board of
Directors
makes the final decision as to who receives
the award.
Thank you for all your hard work and dedication!
