| The AHAA awards beautiful high point buckles in
recognition
of our members' achievements.
When you compete at an AHAA recognized show, you are earning points for year end awards and buckles. You can earn a high point buckle for:
** Open Competition Horse
and Open
Competition Youth Buckles For these 3 buckles mentioned above you need to get forms from the AHAA so that you are prepared for the upcoming year, these forms will need to be witnessed by show officials on the date of the Show or event. Some of the Open Competitions have already started for 2004, so now is the time to get your form and start recording your accomplishments. Please note that the owner and Rider/Handler need to be a Member
of the AHAA to earn your points. If you have a trainer riding
the
horse, they must be an AHAA member to earn points on your
horse.
Also Point Tabulation begins on the day of membership, so it is very
important
to get your membership before your first Show, Trailride, Race or
Competition. |
Open only to those AHAA members who have not shown at an AHAA
approved
show in the past 5 years, or those who have never shown at an AHAA
approved
show. We will be awarding a Rookie of the Year award in both the
Youth and Non Pro divisions. This is a great opportunity to win
an
incredible prize package. More details will be announced as the
show
season approaches. Stay tuned and in the meantime spread the
word.
Please contact Shelby
for more information at 403.625.0972. Ask us how you can be a
part
of this exciting program.
Special Appreciation Award:
In addition to all the class champions and high point buckle winners,
the AHAA annually awards a Special Appreciation
Award. This award is presented to an AHAA member(s) who has made
great contributions, etc to the AHAA and the
Appaloosa Horse.
People can contact a board member to suggest someone for this year's
presentation which will be at the Annual Awards Presentations.
The Awards Committee takes the nominations and the AHAA Board of
Directors
makes the final decision as to who receives
the award.
Thank you for all your hard work and dedication!
