2003 Scholarship Recipient
The Appaloosa Horse Association of Alberta presents an annual scholarship to a deserving member to help with the costs of his or her post-secondary education.

Eligible applicants are reviewed by the current Board and a recipient is chosen.

The young lady receiving the $500 scholarship this evening has been a member of the AHAA since 1999.

Although he dad and ‘stepmom’ are very involved with the Appaloosa Horse Association of Alberta and you will recognize the family name, you probably do not personally know this young lady.

Margery Rose Pazdor
If you were at the Spring Classic and Canadian Classic shows the past couple of years, you may remember her friendly face in the show offices.

She is in her third year of a Bachelor of Science program at Memorial University in St John’s, Newfoundland where she has a 3.94 grade point average or in simpler terms, an 87% average.

She is involved with volunteer activities on and off the Memorial campus including the Student Newspaper as a writer and layout designer; Project Green, a campus environmental group; and while home in British Columbia for the summer, volunteered at the Columbia Valley Botanical Gardens.

This year’s recipient of the AHAA scholarship is not present today as she is currently in a student exchange program on the French islands of St. Pierre-Miquelon off the south coast of Newfoundland.

Her dad will accept on her behalf.

It is with great pleasure that I am able to announce that MARGERY PAZDOR is the 2003 recipient of the AHAA Scholarship.
